Hi, I'm Denice — the candle maker, gift creator, and chief mess-maker behind Dark Horse Handcrafted.

What started as a simple mission to make a candle I actually loved turned into a full-blown obsession with creating things that make people smile. Fortunately for me (and hopefully for you), that obsession became a business.

These days, you'll find me hand-pouring candles, designing custom drinkware, putting together thoughtful gift boxes, testing new scents, and occasionally wondering why there never seems to be any clear work spaces.

I'm inspired by cozy evenings, changing seasons, fresh air, cottage weekends, good laughs, and all those little moments that make life feel special. My goal is simple: create handcrafted products that help people celebrate, connect, decorate, and occasionally laugh out loud.

Every candle is hand-poured in small batches using 100% natural coconut soy wax and carefully selected fragrances. Everything else is created with the same attention to detail, quality materials, and a healthy appreciation for products that don't take themselves too seriously.
